How Visceral Manipulation Works
The organs are not fixed in place. They glide against one another and against the surrounding tissue with every breath and every movement. Surgery, illness, inflammation, and injury can leave that glide restricted.
Visceral manipulation uses gentle, specific manual contact to address those restrictions. Because the organs are connected to the spine and rib cage by connective tissue, a restriction here can show up as tension or limited movement in the back or abdomen rather than where it started.
The pressure is light and the work is slow. This session is often used alongside myofascial release and chiropractic care, where addressing the deeper layer helps the more familiar work hold.
